Earth Day Salad Bar at Huband Elementary
- We served 370 kids, staff, volunteers, school district employees including the superintendent
- 14 volunteers
- 15 gr 6-7 servers
- Food literacy education / art / decorations all over
- White linen table cloths with beautiful fresh cut flowers
- Volunteers all took a break and ate with SD 71 staff
- 3 salad bars
- Everyone ate for free
- Everything prepared fresh starting at 8am this morning
- 10 lbs of compost that my chickens are eating right now
- Borrowed a salad bar and inserts from two other schools in the Comox Valley
- Local food
- Mexican was our theme today
- AMAZING!
