William Gillett Academy, Charlottetown, NL
Grant term, 2023-2024
William Gillett Academy is a small K-12 school in Charlottetown, Labrador and has a student enrolment of about 46 students. As a school we wanted to teach our students about gardening and living off the land so we started a small community garden in 2023. With the help of the Farm to School Dig In! Seed Grant in 2024, we were able to expand our school garden with more planters, raised beds, and we’re excited to begin work on our greenhouse!
