The impact of Canada Digs In! between 2017-2020 was evaluated. This was the first comprehensive evaluation of its kind, and provided the first empirical evidence of the impacts of farm to school in Canada.

The Quebec Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ) implements the “Stratégie nationale d’achat d’aliments québécois” which aims to ensure Quebec institutions adopt a target for the purchase of Quebec’s food. One of the goals is to provide financial support to Quebec’s public elementary and secondary schools for the implementation of structuring initiatives related to the purchase of Quebec food, the promotion of healthy eating and food education. Between 2020-2022 59 Quebec public schools receive more than $900,000 in financial support thanks to support from M361 (100°) and Équiterre. Learn more.
