Claudia is a mestiza woman originally from the Diagüita, Quechua and Coya ancestral territories (what is today called Chile). She has a MSc. in Integrated Studies in Land and Food Systems (UBC), a BA in Social Communication and Journalism, and a Diploma in Film Production. Her love for healthy gardens and nutritious food is in her cultural DNA from her matrilineal side. She is a generalist in the food systems, with extensive experience in community and research projects regarding food procurement to schools and campuses, food security, and Indigenous food systems. Claudia strongly believes that only nutritious and culturally meaningful food can feed both our body and soul.
Claudia lives and works from the unceded lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples.
