Biography

Cynthia is a Registered Dietitian with experience working in public and population health, primary care, and food insecurity research in both Nova Scotia and British Columbia. She is passionate about healthy eating and ensuring everyone has access to healthy, safe, and culturally appropriate foods. Cynthia had the opportunity to support the Farm to School Program when she worked as a community nutrition program manager for Northern Health in Prince George, BC. She is happy to have the opportunity to support the great work of Farm to School again, and to support other key initiatives of Farm to Cafeteria Canada. 

Cynthia also holds a BSc in Biology and a Master of Business Administration. She has spent most of her career working as a project manager in the non-profit and healthcare sectors. Cynthia currently works as the Director of Health Care Initiatives with the North Shore Division of Family Practice.

In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the North Shore mountains and trails with her husband, two young boys, and their two dogs.

Cynthia is grateful to live, work, and play on the unceded lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) nations.
