She/her/elle
Sina is a plant-based food and nutrition industry professional with a keen interest in food security and equity, with a firm belief that access to healthy foods helps build healthier communities. She has spent her career working in food science – specifically, in the research and development of plant-based products for industry pioneer, Daiya Foods; and more recently, made the switch to the start-up world. Having grown up on a farm in Ontario, Sina has seen firsthand the potential impact that sustainable local food systems can have on their surrounding environment and communities. Through her involvement with F2CC, Sina hopes to contribute to advancing this impact in more communities across Canada.
Sina holds a B.ASc. in Dietetics and an MSc. in Nutritional Sciences. In her spare time, she is likely running, hiking, camping, or hosting cozy dinner parties for her friends.
Sina lives and works from the unceded lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) nations.
