General Information
We partner with a cluster of schools in our neighbourhood to provide ongoing, year-round support for and programs in school gardens. Topics include food literacy, food growing, tasting, harvesting, planting, pollination, native species, composting, and trees from seed as well as caring for mature trees. In summer, our programs are accessed by community groups, day camps and youth programs including farmers market setup and sales. We also have a Green Roof Garden at our office building where we raise food for the community. We are actively decolonizing garden education and learning nouns (names of plants, trees, plant parts) in Anishinaabemowin as part of that learning.
