School Description
Skeetchestn Community School provides outstanding educational programming, academic standards and cultural enrichment through Secwepemc traditions. Land based learning integrated curriculum, encourages a caring community orientated environment fostering confidence and a deep sense of wonder and respect for life, culture and the land. Over the past few years we have developed the Learning Garden, Food Forest and related programming. A community root cellar, impressive rain water harvesting system, a smoke house and tanning shack have recently been added. Currently the Skeetchestn Stables is being built to introduce animals systems to the regenerative land and agricultural project. Spring 2023 will see the construction of a food processing hub, outdoor classroom and community space at the Skeetchestn Community School Learning Garden Centre.
